I can’t believe the Humane Society would do something like this to someone they know. I totally get why their policy is not to return a dog that’s been surrendered, but having a “no exceptions” policy prevents people from doing the right thing in exceptional situations. It sounds like they’re more interested in a power trip than helping your poor dog.
