this bill illustrates the great American compromise..
nobody.. except maybe the health insurance industry.. likes it.
their stock rising at it’s passage doesn’t bode well for anything I had hoped it would accomplish… but there you go.
In the end.. i suspect the republicans will try to gut it piecemeal leaving the profitable parts for the health insurance industry intact.
If they do an effective enough job of that it might open the door to single payer again..
and this time there might be enough taxpayer support to pass it.
