pbgirl423MemberMy son will be two next month and I would love to enroll him in a pre-school soon. The problem is that he missed this years enrollment because he didn’t turn 2 by August 31st. I’m curious if anyone is aware of a pre-school in West Seattle that accepts applications mid year? I can get the phone book out and start calling but I’m hoping someone has some inside information they can share!

addParticipantI’m not sure how updated this is, but this might be a good resource for you:

MargLMemberThere’s a co-op preschool class called “Just Walkers” thru the SSCC. In past years the co-ops have had openings because I think the co-op model might be a little less popular than the drop-em-off and leave model :-)

IrukandjiParticipantThe co-op schools are very good thru SSCC, but they do require a certain level of commitment to meetings and education beyond time in the classroom.
There’s a chance that the program would work well for you if you can get in. There are often wait lists, but things change rapidly.

LuckieParticipantThere’s the YMCA preschool. They start at 2 1/2 years old, and I believe you can enroll any time, if there’s space. I started my preschooler there in April.

celeste17ParticipantI saw a flyer posted in Starbuck’s tonight for Stanislow (?sp). It was posted in the Starbuck’s down on California and Morgan.
