graysongirlParticipantI have several large evergreen trees in my backyard. Some of the needles are turning brown and I am getting concerned. Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone recommend a good arborist or tree service company that may come out and do a free consultation? I would be devestated if I lost these wonderful trees. Thanks!

IrukandjiParticipantI’d recommend Kathy and her team at Out on a Limb:

HunterGParticipantIt’s not uncommon for evergreens to have needles turn brown this time of year. I’ve lived in Washington my whole life, and usually at least 1/4 of the needles on Evergreens turn brown and fall off, at least the ones that I have lived near.
Don’t fret, you should be fine. But, get it checked out if you are worried. Evergreens are hearty and can withstand almost anything.
Sorry about not recommending anyone, just wanted to try to set your mind at ease.

MargLMemberWe had Kathy from Out on a Limb come do a consultation about getting some work done. She is very knowledgeable and didn’t push us to do get more done to make the job bigger – like some folks will sell by saying “You know you really aught to do X, Y, Z.”
Also – I’ve never used them, but e-green landscaping – who was recently a WSB sponsor (i think) has a certified arborist and advertise tree health consultations… http://www.egreenlandscaping.com/treeservices.html couldn’t hurt to call.

alopsmithParticipant“Brown needles on evergreens can be scary! It’s often caused by dry spells, seasonal drop, or early disease.
Companies like Katy Tree Service offer free on-site consultations to https://katytreesservice.com/ diagnose the issue. Definitely have a pro check them out before it’s too late!”
